For Project 6, creating a sculpture on Blender, I had no clue as to what I would come up with using this unfamiliar program. Since I never heard of blender before, I knew this project was going to undertake a lot of time and thought. After getting help on some of the basics of the program, I ended up having a ton of fun creating new shapes and models to create my image here. The first visual while creating this is a ship similar from StarFox64. As a kid, I remember playing this game on my friends Nintendo 64, and I thought it would cool to try to recreate something similar to it. I really enjoyed using the tools on blender. Sculpting virtual models is so much easier than doing it by hand. I can see blender being very useful for more artists in the future, since there is no limit as to what you can create. I can definitely see myself as a young artist using this program again to create something even bigger and better next time

Project 4: My Plan
To accomplish this video for Project #4, I decided that I will be using my "Green Smart Living" water vapor pen to produce the smoke. This way, I can blow smoke without having to take a drag from a cigarette inside where I will be filming. I figured that the lighting in the video should be dim, but focused on the billowing smoke in order to replicate this video to the best of my ability. To have the smoothest slow motion effect, I will be using the highest fps featured on Final Cut.
I can't wait to start filming! I have many different visions for this project, it will be a total surprise to see how this will turn out...

Project 4: Joe Jones - Smoking
http://www.ubu.com/film/fluxfilm17_jones.html
The video I decided to use titled "Smoking" by Joe Jones, is by far one of the most interesting videos from the Fluxflim Anthology category. Very calming to watch the smoke billow in slow motion, and I can see this video project being fun to portray with water-vapor. I am fairly experienced with film and editing that I can see this being very fun. I am very excited to see how this project will turn out.

Walter Benjamin Reading Questions
Question 1: In Section V, it states that art is valued and received on different planes. I wonder what is the one element that decides its value. Is it up to the eyes of the buyer to determine its worth?
Question 2: Hearing about what it is like for an actor or actress to be in front of a movie camera gave me more insight on how I interpret movies. Lots of movies today use tricks to confuse the audience into thinking the movie is as real as possible. How do you feel when you watch an actor on the screen? Do you ever think about what it is like from their point of view?
